abstract |
The present invention relates to assays for detecting the presence of lysine-enhanced genetically modified strains based on the DNA sequence of the exogenous DNA construct inserted into the corn genome and the DNA of the genomic sequence that joins the insertion site. Also provided are genetically modified plants with novel exogenous DNA constructs expressing dihydrodipicolinic acid synthase, wherein lysine is increased in the plant or plant product by the activity of the dihydrodipicolinic acid synthase. |
