titleOfInvention | Gene constructs for targeting foreign proteins to protein stocks |
abstract | The present invention relates to a gene construct capable of targeting a foreign protein to protein storage vacuole (PSV), specifically encoding a chitinase cysteine-rich domain (CBD). The present invention relates to a gene construct capable of targeting a foreign protein to PSV, including a nucleotide sequence and a nucleotide sequence encoding a C-terminal propeptide sequence (CTPP). Since the gene construct of the present invention converts the foreign protein into a polymer aggregate form and delivers it to the PSV in a Golgi apparatus-independent manner, it can prevent the glycosylation change and non-specific degradation of the protein caused by Golgi apparatus. It can be usefully used to increase the stability and improve the productivity of the foreign protein expressed in the transgenic plant. |
