Alpha Glycoprotein in Unglycosylated Human, Method of Production thereof, and Application thereof |
abstract |
The present invention is characterized by substantially pure nucleic acids encoding unglycosylated human alphafetoprotein (ng.HuAFP) or non-glycosylated fragments thereof. Specifically, the nucleic acid encoding ng.HuAFP comprises nucleotides 46-1874 of the nucleic acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 5.n n n The present invention is also characterized by polypeptides comprising aglycosylated human alphafetorotein. In an embodiment of the invention, the polypeptide is substantially pure and has the amino acid sequence set forth in SEQ ID NO: 6. In another embodiment, the polypeptide is substantially pure and has the amino acid sequence set forth in SEQ ID NO: 8.n n n The invention further encompasses fragments and analogs of biologically active unglycosylated recombinant HuAFP. Specifically, the biologically active non-glycosylated recombinant HuAFP may comprise an amino acid sequence as set forth in SEQ ID NO: 15 (Domain II), SEQ ID NO: 16 (Domain I + II) or SEQ ID NO: 17 (Domain II + III) or Two or more of the amino acid sequences. |
