abstract | Capable of metabolizing a copper carbon source in a liquid medium containing saturated concentrations of L-glutamic acid and a carbon source at a particular pH, and accumulating L-glutamic acid in an amount exceeding the saturated concentration of L-glutamic acid in the liquid medium at said pH. L-glutamic acid is produced by culturing a microorganism having a pH in a condition in which L-glutamic acid is precipitated and accumulating in a medium containing pantothenic acid while producing and accumulating L-glutamic acid in the medium. |
