abstract The present invention relates to a composition for the prevention and treatment of liver cancer, which contains α-solatin, which is a potato-derived glycoalkaloid, or α-tomate, which is a tomato-derived glycoalkaloid.n n n In the present invention, as a result of measuring the inhibitory activity against colon cancer cells and liver cancer cells in a variety of glycoalkaloids of different structures present in potatoes and tomatoes, α-chaconin, α as a side chain trisaccharide as potato-derived glycoalkaloids -Solanin and tomato-derived glycoalkaloids showed that the side chains of the tetrasaccharide α-tomin showed the best cancer cell inhibitory activity.
