Refrigerant subsystems and methods of operating the same are disclosed for use in fuel processing devices. According to a first aspect, the refrigerant subsystem is separate from the feed to the processor reactor and can circulate the refrigerant through the processor reactor. According to a second aspect, the components of the fuel processor are housed in a cabinet, and the refrigerant subsystem can cool both the processor reactor and the interior of the cabinet. In various variations, the fuel processor can be used to reform fuel for fuel cell power plants and / or can be used for temperature control of unrelated mechanical systems. |
