abstract The present invention relates to a process for producing lyocell fibers from spinning liquids containing water, cellulose and tertiary amine oxides. The spinning solution is extruded to form the spinning 10. The spinning 10 is stretched and passed through a settling tank 18 to precipitate cellulose. It has been surprisingly found that the tenacity of lyocell fibers produced in such a way that the stretched fibers are post-extended in post-extension means can be increased.
