titleOfInvention | Cholesteric liquid crystal drying process and solvent |
abstract | The present invention provides a method of forming a cholesteric liquid crystal layer, attaching the cholesteric liquid crystal composition on a substrate, and initially drying the cholesteric liquid crystal composition at a temperature of about 90 ° C. or lower to provide the cholesteric liquid crystal. Provided is a method of forming a cholesteric liquid crystal layer comprising the composition having at least 80% residual solids. The invention also includes forming a cholesteric liquid crystal composition, attaching the cholesteric liquid crystal composition onto a substrate, and initially drying the cholesteric liquid crystal composition at a temperature of about 90 ° C. or less. It provides a method of forming a cholesteric liquid crystal layer, wherein the drying is carried out using a technique that provides little or no air flow. The present invention also provides a cholesteric liquid crystal composition comprising at least one cholesteric liquid crystal precursor and 1,3-dioxolane. |
