abstract |
An electrode comprising a collection of particles having an average diameter of less than about 100 nm, the electrode having a root mean square surface roughness of less than about 5 microns. The electrode may be formed of a group of electroactive nanoparticles having a narrow particle size distribution. This electrode can be formed to have an average thickness of less than about 10 microns including particles having an average diameter of less than about 100 nm. Thin electrodes can be used to form thin batteries in which at least one electrode comprises nanoscale electroactive particles. |
