abstract |
The portable drug compliance device 10 includes a body 12 and compartments 22 formed therein. Microprocessor 120 is disposed inside the body 12 and connected to each of the compartments 22. The microprocessor 120 determines a relative time interval for dispensing the drug from each of the compartments, informs the user when a drug should be taken from each of the compartments, and stores the opening of each of the compartments in memory. Programmable to A programming button 24 is placed near the body and connected to the microprocessor 120. The programming button 24 allows the user to program the microprocessor. The device may also be programmed into the communication means 47A via a remote computer. Display means 16, such as an LCD, is disposed on the body and connected to the microprocessor 120. The LCD 16 displays information including relative time intervals for dispensing the drug by the microprocessor 120. |
