A gene calag1 related to the yeast-to-hypha morphological transition and virulence in candida albicans |
abstract |
The present invention relates to a novel gene related to the yeast-to-hypha morphological transition and pathogenicity of Candida albicans , a pathogenic strain causing candidiasis, and more particularly, Candida albicans. The discovery of a novel gene CaLAG1 involved in heterozygous and reveals its function in heteromorphism and pathogenicity. Therefore, the novel gene CaLAG1 or protein CaLag1p identified according to the present invention can be used as a target gene or target protein for screening antifungal substances that inhibit the pathogenicity of Candida albicans. |
