The driving apparatus of the discharge display panel by the dual sub-field coding that can be performed. The driving apparatus of the discharge display panel according to the present invention processes a video signal input from the outside and divides it into units of frames, obtains an input gray level in each frame from the video signal, and stores a plurality of frames each having a gray scale weight. The time division gray scale display according to the input gray scale is performed on the discharge display panel by dividing into subfields, and the subfield having the minimum gray scale weight is two or more.
