Method and apparatus for wide area surveillance of a terrorist or personal threat |
abstract |
The present invention relates to means for detecting external threats by using methods and apparatus for widespread detection of chemical, radiation and biological threats using modified personal wireless devices combined with novel advanced micro and nanosensor technologies. Provides a cost-effective way to monitor a wide range of potential terrorists or personal threats. Personal electronic devices such as mobile phones, PDAs or watches, combined with the novel microsensor technology described herein, can be used as a new form of underlying sensing technology for the widespread monitoring of critical threats. It provides "homeland security" chips that combine geolocation devices, remote wireless communications, and sensing on a single chip. Personal wireless equipment can be installed to detect various medically relevant threats. The modified personal device can be used to detect personal specific external threats. |
