abstract The present invention relates to an apparatus for the recovery of contaminated fluid (4) contained in at least one zone (2) of a tank of a sunk ship. The apparatus comprises means for injecting water into the zone, countercurrent means for pushing contaminated fluid out of the zone and at least one connecting pipe which can be connected to one of the counterflow means out of the emergency vessel. The invention particularly relates to a compartment (3) in which a first end (8, 12) is present at least near each corner of the zone end and the second end (9, 13) is (i) fixed on the flotation line of the sunken ship. And (ii) a plurality of fixed pipes (t, T) arranged to be connected to valves (10, 14), which are accommodated and (ii), which can be adjusted outside of the sunken vessel.
