titleOfInvention Inhalation device
abstract An inhalation device for receiving a powdered drug in the form of a drug compressed body is provided with a sealing means consisting of a partial ring between the outer wall of the drug compressed body chamber and the inner mandrel. The medication is dispensed by peeling the medication by rotating the compact against the blade relative to the inner mandrel. Despite extending only around a portion of the circumference of the mandrel, the sealing means prevents the powder from leaking from the compact chamber to the rest of the device. In addition, the sealing means provides a frictional braking force on the medication container that is sufficient to prevent movement of the medication container when the drive mechanism of the medication container is returned to the starting position without making the device difficult to operate by a child or patient.
