Hydroentangled nonwovens are described that are formed into a central region of low mass fiber density surrounded on both sides by regions of higher mass density in cross section. Also described are personal cleansing articles in which the hydroentangled nonwoven fabric is combined with a personal cleansing composition comprising a foaming surfactant. The composition is deposited on or impregnated in, or at least partially wrapped by, the nonwoven. Also described is a method of making such a nonwoven comprising feeding a loose random assembly of fibers up and down the fibrous screen modified fabric substrate into a hydroentanglement device. |
