Novel phytochrome-interacting protein and a use thereof |
abstract |
The present invention relates to a novel protein that binds to phytochrome and its use, and more particularly, to an isolated polypeptide comprising an amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 4 or an amino acid sequence having at least 80% homology with the amino acid sequence. And uses thereof. The polypeptide provided by the present invention cross-links phytochromes A and B, and the cross-linking involves a TPR domain present at its N-terminus. Also at the C-terminus of the polypeptide is a PP2A catalytic domain (PP2Ac) responsible for dephosphorylation activity. The polypeptide according to the present invention can be used as a dephosphorase, and can be usefully used for the production of plants sensitive to optical signal transduction. In addition, the TPR domains present in the polypeptides according to the invention can be used for the production of dwarf plants. |
