abstract | Dental combination formulations containing an initiator and a polyacrylate compound are disclosed. The formulation lacks methyl methacrylate, a volatile, irritating and potentially harmful substance commonly found in dental formulations. The polyacrylate compound has at least three acrylate functional groups per molecule. The formulation cures to form a surface lacking an oxygen inhibiting layer. The formulations can be used as dental sealants, as dental coatings, and in thornton / claw recovery applications. |
