A method of forming a pattern on a substrate, comprising: an ejection head having a nozzle on a reference plate in which a plurality of target positions at which liquid drops are arranged in at least one row are defined; Ejecting from the target, detecting a displacement between the target position and the position where the droplet is actually landed, and calculating a relative position error with the ejection head for each of the target positions of at least one column based on the displacement amount.
