The present invention includes an expandable osmotic layer and a coating suspension to provide an expandable osmotic layer, both of which are useful for the preparation of controlled release formulations. The expandable osmotic layer of the present invention can be prepared using the coating suspension of the present invention. Advantageously, the coating suspension of the present invention can be used to coat the expandable osmotic layer under wet and dry process conditions without altering the quality of the resulting expandable osmotic layer, and thus the control comprising the coated expandable osmotic layer. It provides a relatively strong coating suspension that promotes commercial production of sex release formulations. |
