The present invention relates to a method for producing a bead-like superabsorbent polymer, wherein a dispersant is prepared by dispersing a dispersant in an organic solvent having a specific gravity of 0.9 to 1.3, under a nitrogen stream, and preparing a hydrophilic monomer, a crosslinking agent, and a polymerization in a separate container. The monomer aqueous solution containing the initiator was prepared by adjusting the viscosity of the aqueous solution to a range of 5,000 to 30,000 cps using a thickener, and mixing the dispersion solution and the monomer aqueous solution prepared above to perform a polymerization reaction, thereby preventing agglomeration phenomenon generated during the polymerization process. In order to obtain a polymer by adding a lubricating agent and dispersing the mixed solution at a stirring speed at 50 to 150 rpm, the obtained resin in the dried state has a particle size in the range of 700 to 3,000 µm and is completely bead-like particles. Its distribution was narrow, and it absorbed water and maintained a transparent bead phase even when it swelled. The absorption ability and gel strength were favorable, and it is related with the manufacturing method of such a bead-like superabsorbent polymer. |
