abstract | The present invention provides compositions useful as catalysts in the production of polyisocyanurate foams. The composition of the present invention comprises N, N ', N'-trimethylaminoethyl-ethanolamine in combination with other catalysts useful in promoting trimerization of isocyanates. The isocyanate content of the foams is reduced leading to foams with better combustion properties than isocyanurate foams in the art. Reducing the isocyanurate content of the foam will also lead to faster de-moulding of the molded foam due to the reduced stickiness. |
