In this way, when the image display device is driven for a long time, even if the resistance is changed in the vicinity of the surface of the resistive film of the spacer by exposure to electron irradiation, the resistance value of the entire resistive film is almost made to be a predetermined resistance value by the deep region having low resistance. As a result, the deviation of the resistance value of the spacer resist film, the deviation of the electron orbit due to the change of the potential distribution and the disturbance of the image display due to the potential distribution can be suppressed.
