Micro-cellular or non-cellular light-stable polyurethane material and method for the production thereof |
abstract |
The present invention relates to an isocyanate component composed of at least one isocyanate compound having at least two NCO-groups not directly bonded to an aromatic group; Isocyanate-reactive component; And substantially free of lead and made from a reactive mixture comprising a catalyst component comprising at least one organobismuth (III) catalyst. The present invention discloses a C 14 -C 20 carboxylate group substituted with at least one isocyanate-reactive group for maintaining the release or VOC value (volatile organic compound) of the polyurethane material below 250 ppm, preferably below 100 ppm. Or organobismuth (III), organotin (II or IV) catalysts or both comprising C 2 -C 20 carboxylate groups. The catalyst component may further comprise an organozinc (II) carboxylate. Preferred catalysts are bismuth oleate, dimethyltin dioleate and zinc octoate. |
