titleOfInvention Foam bun mold shim
abstract The mold shim or insert disclosed herein is disposed between a fastener strip formed on a foam object and the face of a forming mold or mold magnet. The mold shim compensates for changes in the mold surface, providing a smoother surface of the fastener strip for counter sealing-preventing contamination of the fixing elements of the strip during the casting process. Another embodiment of the invention is that fastener strips are not used and instead have coupling members at the non-mould-closest surfaces that engage with clips or wires embedded in the foam object during the casting process.
