abstract |
A fluid processing system has been described that includes a control unit 102 that controls the overall operation of the fluid processing system 10. The ballast circuit 103 is coupled to the electromagnetic radiation emitting assembly 14. In a preferred fluid treatment system 10, the ballast circuit 103 is inductively coupled with the electromagnetic radiation assembly 14. The inductively coupled ballast circuit 103 inductively activates the electromagnetic radiation emitting device 60 disposed in the electromagnetic radiation emitting assembly 14 in accordance with a predetermined electrical signal from the control unit. In addition, the fluid processing system 10 is a radio frequency identification system used to monitor the electromagnetic radiation emitting assembly 14 and various functional and operational aspects of the filter assembly 16 used within the fluid processing system 10. 124. |
