abstract |
The composites based on the fiber reinforced silicone matrix resins of the present invention are more resistant to interfacial delamination by incorporating the desired toughness, low modulus silicone resins different from other matrix resins between each fiber layer of the composite. Glass or carbon fiber infused woven mats comprising the silicone matrix resin required by the present invention are coated with a precursor of intercalated silicone resin. The alternating laminate between the prepared matrix-fiber layers and the inserted silicone resin layers provides a rigid silicone based composite. |
