titleOfInvention | Electrical method to control autonomic nerve stimulation of gastrointestinal tract |
abstract | The present invention is a method and apparatus for controlling autonomic or sympathetic stimulation of the gastrointestinal tract. The method includes the step of selecting a waveform from a storage area that represents the function of a body organ. The selected waveform is delivered to the treatment member, which is in contact with or attached to a target site therein, and distributes the waveform to specific body organs to regulate the function of the body organs. The control module is provided for delivery to the treatment member. The control module includes a waveform that is selected and delivered to the treatment member, and computer storage may be provided for manipulation and greater storage capacity of the waveform. |
