abstract |
The present application relates to protective DNA vaccines against HFRS- and HPS-related Hantavirus infection. The vaccine was prepared by subcloning a cDNA representing a medium (M) (encoding G1 and G2 glycoprotein) genes into pWRG7077, a DNA expression vector. Animals immunized with the M construct developed neutralizing antibody responses. Passive delivery experiments show that when injected 4 or 5 days after challenge, serum from immunized animals protects animals from lethal disease. |
