titleOfInvention | The method of preparing optically active 1,2-diol derivatives and their esters with succinic anhydride |
abstract | The present invention relates to the preparation of an optically active alcohol (alcohol) and ester (ester) represented by the general formulas (2) and (3) in the following [Scheme 1] by enzymatic methods. More specifically, the racemic alcohol compound represented by the general formula (1) and acyl donor (succinic anhydride) are added to the organic solvent, and then a lipase is used as a biocatalyst to stereoselectively select one alcohol group. The present invention relates to a method for preparing an optically active alcohol and ester which are frequently used as pharmaceutical intermediates by ester reaction. The process according to the present invention converts the primary alcohol group of 1,2-diol compounds and then performs stereoselective esterification of the second alcohol group using lipase. Unlike by using succinic anhydride as the acyl donor, it is possible to easily separate the optically active alcohol and ester after the reaction, and also has the advantage of obtaining high optical purity. |
