Acetylcholinesterase-inhibiting flavonoids of the present invention can be prepared from methanol extracts of Mugwort by performing a series of purification processes such as organic solvent fractions, sequential silica gel chromography, TLC (thin layer chromatography), etc. Pure separation. The AChE inhibitory substance prepared in this way is a low-molecular flavone component, which not only inhibits acetylcholinesterase but also protects in vitro brain neurons, and is a functional agent for improving memory loss caused by dementia patients and aging.
