abstract | The present invention relates to a process for preparing amines by hydrogenation of the corresponding nitroaromatic compounds in a vertical reactor having a reactor length greater than diameter. The reactor has a jet nozzle disposed downward in the reactor upper region. A portion of the reaction mixture and optionally starting material is fed through the jet nozzle. The reactor also includes an outlet at any desired location in the reactor, through which the reaction mixture is returned by the transport member to the jet nozzle via an abutment circuit, at the bottom of the reactor where the flow is reversed. The present invention is characterized in that a portion of the hydrogen and / or nitroaromatic compound starting material used is fed to the liquid phase of the reactor so that it flows upward in the liquid phase. |
