abstract | The present invention relates to a novel antioxidant isolated from the fruit of Catalpa ovata G. D ON and its separation method. More specifically, 7-olefinal-3,4'-dihydroxy-3 ', 5-dimethoxyflavane having a structure of C 20 H 20 O 6 from the paulownia fruit (7-olefinal-3,4' A new active substance named -dihydroxy-3 ', 5-dimethoxyflavane) was found.n n n Methanol extracts of the paulownia fruit were partitioned between ethyl acetate and phosphate buffer solution to obtain ethyl acetate soluble neutral fraction. By using a step such as HPLC, a new substance finally named 7-olefinal-3,4'-dihydroxy-3 ', 5-dimethoxyflavane having a structure of C 20 H 20 O 6 was isolated. The structure of this material was determined by MS and NMR analysis, and the antioxidant activity of the isolated material was measured.n n n The 7-olefinal-3,4'-dihydroxy-3 ', 5-dimethoxyflavane of the present invention can be used as a novel natural antioxidant with antioxidant activity as well as a lead compound of various active substances. Will be available in a wide range of applications. |
