abstract |
The present invention relates to a sintered powder consisting of polyamide comprising PMMI, PMMA or a copolymer with PMMI, in particular PMMI-PMMA copolymer, to the use of the sintered powder for laser sintering and to molded articles made from the sintered powder. Molded articles made from the powders of the present invention have significant advantages over conventional products in terms of appearance and surface quality, in particular roughness and dimensional stability during selective laser sintering (SLS).n n n In addition, molded articles made from the sintered powders of the present invention have better mechanical properties than molded articles based on conventional nylon-12 powders, especially in terms of elastic modulus and tensile strength. Such molded articles also have a density similar to that of injection molded articles. |
