titleOfInvention Highly shrinkable acrylic fiber, pile compositions containing the same and napped fabrics made by using the compositions
abstract It consists of an acrylonitrile-type polymer containing 50 weight% or more of acrylonitrile, and the shrinkage rate after 10-minute treatment at 130 degreeC with no-load dry heat is 25%-35%, and it is in the range of 120-140 degreeC of dry heat. Disclosed is a highly shrinkable acrylic fiber having a difference between a maximum value and a minimum value of shrinkage after 8 minutes of unloading within 8%. Also disclosed are pile compositions containing 20 to 80 percent by weight of such highly shrinkable acrylic fibers and pile fabrics prepared using such pile compositions.
