titleOfInvention | Glycoconjugate Vaccines for Use in Immune-Compromised Populations |
abstract | Disclosed herein are glycoconjugate vaccines of staphylococci and enterococci for use in preventing or treating bacterial infections in immunocompromised individuals. Such vaccines contain conjugates and immunocarriers of polysaccharides or glycopeptide surface antigens obtained from clinically important bacterial strains. Vaccines can be used to actively protect immunocompromised individuals who are at risk of developing a direct bacterial infection, such as in catheterization or surgical progression. |
