titleOfInvention | Wavelength tunable nonlinear optical materials and optical device using the same |
abstract | The present invention provides a wavelength selective nonlinear optical material having a basic unit structure in which a composite composed of a ferroelectric matrix having static spontaneous polarization and a complex of fine metal particles uniformly dispersed therein are positioned between two electrodes in parallel with each other, and using the same It provides an optical device. While using a fixed material system, the polarization characteristics of the ferroelectric are reversibly adjusted according to the magnitude and sign of the bias voltage applied to the parallel electrode in real time to control the operating wavelength at which the tertiary nonlinear optical characteristics of the fine particle dispersion composite are maximized. Optimal synchronization for arbitrary wavelengths is achieved, while the bandwidth is kept constant to reduce background loss and improve the sensitivity index of the device, enabling the implementation of all-optical communication devices for multi-signal processing and operation wavelength control. |
