titleOfInvention | A novel virus-induced hot pepper cell wall protein and gene sequence coding the same |
abstract | The present invention relates to a gene encoding a novel cell wall protein derived from pepper which is specifically induced by a virus, and the present invention encodes a novel cell wall protein expressed as a defense against pathogens in peppers infected with a plant pathogen virus. It has a great effect on providing genes. In addition, the gene encoding the novel cell wall protein derived from pepper of the present invention is expressed by stimuli that cause viruses and various environmental stresses, but not induced by bacteria, and genes encoding cell wall proteins of other plant species. It does not have a similar sequence except for the signal peptide and exists in a single copy on the genome of peppers and contains a repeating helix-turn-helix motif of 39 amino acids. In addition, it exhibits strong resistance to viruses in tobacco plants overexpressing the gene encoding a novel cell wall protein derived from red pepper of the present invention. |
