The present invention relates to novel agents that act to inhibit the inflammatory response in animals. The formulation comprises a member selected from the group consisting of an effective amount of curcuminoid species as the first component and an effective amount of the alpha acid species or beta acid species or derivatives thereof as the second component. The composition provides a synergistic anti-inflammatory effect in response to chemical damage or abnormal immune stimulation due to biological agents or unknown ecology. |
