abstract | The present invention provides an anti-influenza medicament using as an active ingredient ambroxol, bromine hexin or pharmacologically acceptable salts thereof. It is characterized by having anti-influenza action by promoting secretion of in vivo factors exhibiting anti-influenza virus action contained in airway secretion. It is characterized by inhibiting the influenza virus proliferation in the airways by promoting the secretion of inhibitors to proteases in the airway causing infection of the influenza virus. In addition, it is characterized by inhibiting the influenza virus proliferation in the airway by promoting the secretion of IgA and IgG mucosal immune substances. It is also characterized by inhibiting the release of inflammatory cytokines in the airways. The present invention provides an agent for treating or preventing influenza virus infection. |
