abstract The present invention relates to an antimicrobial peptide isolated from sea urchin, and more particularly, to an antimicrobial peptide isolated from humoral cells of Halocynthia aurantium and an antimicrobial agent containing the antimicrobial peptide as an active ingredient. The antimicrobial peptide of the present invention is excellent in antimicrobial activity even under strong acid and strong base conditions, and excellent resistance to resistant bacteria can be usefully used as a natural antibiotic.
