In a method of making an organic electroluminescent device, the transition layer is solution coated on a donor substrate. The transition layer comprises a polymerizable amorphous matrix having a light emitting material disposed within the matrix. The transition layer is then selectively patterned on the receptor. Next, the polymerizable amorphous matrix is polymerized. Examples of patterning methods include laser thermal transitions or thermal head transitions. The method and related materials can be used, for example, to form organic electroluminescent devices. |
