titleOfInvention | Method for producing metallic iron |
abstract | An object of the present invention is a technique applied to a method for producing metal iron by reducing a raw material containing an iron oxide-containing material and a carbonaceous reducing agent under heating, by minimizing the reoxidation of metal iron which is a problem occurring at the end of solid reduction It is to establish a technology that can efficiently produce metal iron with high metallization rate and high iron purity with high yield. The present invention pertains to a method for producing metal iron, which comprises heating a raw material comprising a carbonaceous reducing agent and an iron oxide-containing material in a moving hearth type reducing melting furnace, and reducing and melting the iron oxide in the raw material to produce a metal iron. The reduction melting furnace is divided into three or more sections in the moving direction of the hearth, wherein one or more sections of the divided section upstream of the hearth direction is a solid reduction section, and one or more sections of the hearth direction downstream side. The compartment is a carburizing melt section, and a reducing aging section is provided between the solid reduction section and the carburizing melt section. |
