abstract The present invention is a novel FGFR2 protein that is specifically expressed in cancer cells and has an amino acid sequence as set forth in SEQ ID NO: 4 , FGFR2 gene encoding the protein, an antibody that specifically binds to the protein, anticancer comprising the antibody A pharmaceutical composition and a cancer diagnostic kit, more particularly, a novel FGFR2 protein having an amino acid sequence as set forth in SEQ ID NO: 4 in which exons 7 to 10 are lost after polymorphic conjugation of FGFR2, FGFR2 encoding the protein The present invention relates to a gene, an antibody specifically binding to the protein, an anticancer pharmaceutical composition comprising the antibody, and a cancer diagnostic kit. The FGFR2 protein having the amino acid sequence set forth in SEQ ID NO: 4 of the present invention is specifically expressed in leukemia cells and has a property of acting irrespective of a ligand, so that the protein or the antibody specifically binding to the protein is used for diagnosing cancer. It can be usefully used for the manufacture of kits and pharmaceutical compositions for anticancer.
