abstract The present invention relates to an actinoplanes teicomyceticus mutant strain capable of producing high yields of teicoplanin and a method for producing the same.n n n The mutant strain of the present invention is a parent strain of the Actinoplanes teicomyceticus ATCC 31121 strain, and the resistance to teicoplanin, resistance to catabolism inhibition by glucose and teicoplanin productivity are remarkable. Since it is excellent, it is possible to produce teicoplanin in high yield.n n n Therefore, the mutant strains of the present invention and the method for producing the same can be usefully used for industrial mass production of teicoplanin.
