abstract An object of the present invention is to prolong the life by suppressing the internal mercury consumption of a low-pressure discharge lamp and preventing deterioration of the lamp vessel.n n n It is a low-pressure discharge lamp 11 of the structure in which the dielectric barrier discharge electrode 30, 40 was provided in the edge part of the tubular glass lamp container 20, and the phosphor layer 60 was formed in the inner wall surface of the tubular glass lamp container. Phosphor layers were formed on portions of the inner wall surface of the tubular glass lamp container except for the electrode mounting portions, and metal oxide layers 80 and 90 were formed on at least the electrode mounting portions.
