Triarylsilyl(meth)acryloyl-containing polymers for marine coating compositions |
abstract |
Copolymers containing triarylsilyl (meth) acryloyl units are corrosive in seawater and can be used to formulate marine antifouling paints. The copolymers of the present invention are characterized by low levels of triarylsilyl (meth) acrylate units and corrosion rates in seawater of 2 to about 15 microns / month. |
