The present invention provides methods for identifying cancerous cells by detection of expression levels of TTK, as well as methods for diagnosis, prognosis and treatment using differential expression of these genes in mammalian cancer. Such a method may be useful for measuring a subject's ability to respond to a particular therapy, for example based on radiation therapy. In addition, the present invention provides assays that identify constraints that modulate the activity of these genes in cancers involving these genes, as well as methods of inhibiting tumor growth by inhibiting the activity of TTK. |
