titleOfInvention | Using hangover mechanism for screening of materials against alcohol intoxication of hangover after drinking |
abstract | The mechanism of hangover is as follows. This is due to excessive oxygen generation, which results in excessive release of arachidonic acid from the cells, which also induces cyclooxygenase-2 to make arachidonic acid prostaglandin E 2 , one of the hangover-causing agents. Therefore, the hangover is known to be exhibited by prostaglandin-based pain hormones in addition to acetaldehyde, which is well known, and relates to the use of the hangover mechanism described in the present invention when screening substances capable of removing the hangover. |
