abstract | 2-adamantanone obtained by oxidizing adamantane as a raw material, from an alkyladamantyl ester composition containing a large amount of alkyladamantyl halides obtained by alkylating with an organometallic reagent and then reacting an acid halide. Provided is a method for efficiently obtaining a high purity alkyladamantyl ester with a simple operation.n n n Containing an alkyladamantyl halide such as 2-chloro-2-methyladamantane in an amount of more than 0.5 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of an alkyladamantyl ester such as 2-methyl-2-adamantyl methacrylate A compound that does not generate an acid when the halide is heated by adding a mixed solution of methanol and aqueous sodium hydroxide solution to the alkyl adamantyl ester composition to be brought into contact with the alkali compound and the alkyladamantyl halide in a homogeneous system. The distillation is carried out after making the amount of the alkyladamantyl halide in the composition be 0.5 parts by weight or less with respect to 100 parts by weight of the alkyladamantyl ester. |
